Crew Highlights
What a wonderful way to "WRAP UP" our expedition about Crew. Today students helped make blankets for Children's Hospital. A big thank you to Leslie and all of our helpers!
On Monday, students wrote about how community helpers work together as crew.
Then on Tuesday, we reviewed ALL of our learning from this expedition. What does it mean to be crew? How do classes, families, prairie dogs, and communities work together as crew? Here were their thoughts.
Students picked one thing they learned to write in their Scientist notebook and then share on Seesaw.
Such great learning!
I just love how our rug has become such a symbol of crew!
In January, we will begin a NEW expedition.
And I will keep you posted about the ABCs of Crew books from Ms. Staci.
It was a busy week of Winter Fun!
We made these snowflake bead ornaments for our 4th grade buddies.
Sprinkled into our regular lessons, we had winter themed "Write the Room" words, an Emergent Reader booklet, Gingerbread Sight Word scavenger hunt, and Sight Word Bingo.
*In Take Home Folders, all writing from this unit was sent home, in addition to our winter- themed items. Please take a moment to celebrate our growing writers and readers!
In addition to our gift exchange, 4th grade buddies were excited to show off their circut boxes that they had created in their science expedition. How fun! I got lots of pictures- so check out the link below.

How exciting to share our incredible music program and how drum circles create a significant source of belonging in our community.
It was in my growth zone to lead a drum circle of this size today! Woohoo!
During our craft party, students worked on three different projects.
1) Blankets for Children's Hospital
Such a timely, meaningful act of service!

They turned out so cute!
3) Qtip snowflake
Just like in real life, every snowflake is unique!
And to finish our day,
we got to celebrate Michael's birthday!
